Hi friends and family!
Life has been a little crazy lately, so I figured it was time for an update! The last few weeks have been packed with leadership training, training camp, and now Guatemala. There is so much I could share, but here's a little glimpse into what the Lord has been doing in my life lately!
At the end of May, I found myself back at the AIM base in Atlanta, Georgia, for leadership training. It was a packed week full of learning about emergencies, squad and team health, and what it looks like to lead from a place of rest. It was also just such a sweet week getting to know all of the other leaders. We bonded SO fast, and honestly, saying goodbye at the end was way harder than I expected. I miss them all already!
After leadership training, we had a Sabbath day before jumping into training camp. It was so weird being on the other side of things this year! Last year I was the one being trained, and now I was helping run things and serving as a point person for our squad. It was definitely a full week, but such a sweet gift.
I also have to brag on some people for a second. I am SO thankful for my co-leader, Emma Price. Getting to lead alongside her has been such a blessing already, and I seriously love her so much. I am also incredibly grateful to continue learning from Jenna and Kevin. Being mentored by them and getting to serve alongside them in this season has been so sweet!
The Lord has also been doing a lot in my own heart lately. Over and over again, He’s been reminding me of everything He’s taught me over the last year and a half. He keeps bringing me back to moments from the past and showing me just how faithful He’s been in every season. As He’s been doing that, I really feel like He’s been helping me pour out everything He’s taught me into my team and the people around me, while also making room for whatever He wants to lead me into next.
Through it all, I feel like my trust in Him has deepened so much. More than ever, I just know that He’s the one I get everything from. He’s been teaching me how I can be so hungry for more of Him and yet completely satisfied in Him at the same time. It’s hard to explain, but the more I know Him, the more I want Him—and at the same time, the more fulfilled and content I am in Him. It’s been such a sweet season of seeing His faithfulness and learning to depend on Him more deeply.
Lately I've been especially reminded that He is my Good Shepherd. He leads me so faithfully, and I am so honored that He has entrusted me with caring for a small part of His flock this summer. Leadership has already shown me how dependent I am on Him, and honestly, that's exactly where I want to be.
Now let's talk about this squad!
Y'all, they are AMAZING.
They came into training camp with hearts that are genuinely hungry to grow, serve, and know the Lord more. Every single one of them has encouraged me already.
One afternoon, I felt like the Lord was inviting us to spend some time praying together over our squad, our time in Guatemala, and whatever else was on our hearts. I kid you not, we were late to our next session because there was literally no break in the prayers for me to close us out! Person after person kept praying, and it was one of the sweetest moments of training camp for me. Praise God! He is moving, and it's been so beautiful to witness.
To all of you who have been praying for this squad—thank you. I truly believe your prayers matter, and I am already seeing fruit from them.
On June 8th, our squad officially flew to Guatemala! Other than one layover where we absolutely BOOKED it through the airport to make our next flight, travel went incredibly smoothly.
We spent our first night in Antigua for orientation before splitting into three teams and heading to our ministry homes for the next three weeks.
My team consists of six incredible young women, and wow, I am blessed. They are gifted, teachable, fun, and hungry for what the Lord wants to do. Getting to lead them has already been such a joy, and I can't wait to see all that God has in store for them this summer.
Our ministry placement is with REINDOM, and getting to be back here feels so special. I actually worked with them at the very end of my nine-month trip last year, so returning feels like such a sweet gift from the Lord. It's been amazing to reconnect with the ministry, the people, and the work God is doing here.
How You Can Pray
As we continue into this summer season, I would love your prayers:
• Pray that our team and squad would stay open to whatever the Lord wants to do in and through them. Pray for humility, teachability, and unity among all of us.
• Pray for REINDOM and the volunteers we're partnering with as they faithfully serve their community.
• Pray that I would keep trusting the Lord in every circumstance and that He would fill me with supernatural strength and energy to lead faithfully in the way He desires.
And if you feel led to partner financially, I am still working toward being fully funded for this trip. Any support means so much and helps make this ministry possible.
Thank you for cheering me on, praying for me, and being part of what God is doing here. It is such a privilege to get a front-row seat to His work, and I hope this update reminds you that He is moving in Guatemala just as surely as He is moving wherever you are.
Love you all and talk soon!
