Hey Family!
The past two weeks have completely flown by, and every single day has taught me so much. It’s wild how quickly time moves when the Lord is stretching you in new ways. My sweet family dropped me off in Gainesville, GA on January 10th, and training camp started almost immediately. From the very first day, I could tell this season was going to be full and intentional.
I loved getting to meet my squad—11 of us with two incredible mentors named Jenna and Kevin. Right away, it felt like the Lord had handpicked this group. Even in such a short time, we’ve grown close, learned how to support one another, and leaned into what God is doing in each of us.
The first week was packed full. The alumni squads get to take a 15-week course called Perspectives USA, and it was soooo good—but trying to learn 15 weeks of material in just one week was crazy! Every day looked something like this: wake up, spend time with Jesus, head to breakfast, then lock in for a few hours of sessions, lunch, lock back in again, dinner, and… yep, locked back in again 😂 There were maybe two days that weren’t quite as intense, but overall I absolutely loved all the wisdom and knowledge I was receiving.
Perspectives USA is a biblical-based discipleship program focused on God’s global purpose. We had professors teach from biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic perspectives, and it gave me such a fuller picture of God’s heart for the world.
Throughout the week, the Lord highlighted so many things to me. One of the most impactful truths was this: God has always intended for all nations to know Him—from Genesis to Revelation. He blesses His people so that we can return worship to Him and bless the nations, until every tribe and tongue is giving glory back to the Lamb. The verse that has really carried this whole trip for me is Revelation 5:13:
“And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
‘Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.’”
I love knowing that everything I do gets to point back to Jesus—to the Lamb who was slain. He is so worthy of it all!
As we transitioned into week two, training camp shifted gears. This was the real training camp—unfortunately lol—which meant back to sleeping on the floor and stepping into a more hands-on season. We were joined by some semester squads, and it has been so sweet getting to know them and walk alongside them.
Each morning started with worship, and one of the most beautiful things was watching how much freedom grew throughout the week. The Holy Spirit really showed me that when we worship, we take our eyes off ourselves and place them fully on Him. Every time I worshipped, I left feeling lighter, more filled, and so full of joy. Truly—let this be your sign to turn on worship music and sing and dance, especially when you find yourself in a rough valley 🤍
During this week, I’ve also been praying for more boldness and confidence to walk in obedience when the Holy Spirit speaks. At the same time, I had been praying for a squad that would be hungry, unified, and ready—and God answered that prayer so clearly. This group is locked in. Their hearts for the nations and their willingness to step out in faith has been incredibly encouraging to me.
Right now, all of the squads are in a hotel in Atlanta waiting out a snowstorm. It’s been a strange but sweet pause—a moment to rest, reflect, and trust the Lord with what’s ahead. Late Monday night, my squad will fly to Istanbul and then on to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Our squad of 11 has been split into two teams; mine is made up of me and four other girls, while the other team has three boys and three girls. At this point, I’m not completely sure what our ministry will look like, but we believe we’ll be working with college students.
I’m so full of gratitude—thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness, for how He’s already been moving, and for the prayers and support from all of you back home. I don’t know all the details of what’s ahead, but I trust the One who goes before me.
Please continue praying for boldness, unity, protection, and open hearts—for us and for the people we’ll meet. I can’t wait to share how God moves in this next season. Thank you for loving me, covering me in prayer, and cheering me on! All glory to the Lamb 🤍
